POSITION SUMMARY

As a pivotal member of our sales team, you will be responsible for executing targeted sales and marketing initiatives aimed at fostering robust account relationships and driving profitability.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Engage in extensive travel across your designated region, connecting with all assigned Running Specialty accounts, including weekends for significant events.
  • Participate in essential retailer and channel gatherings, such as trade exhibitions and industry conferences.
  • Deliver exceptional service and technical knowledge throughout the sales process.
  • Cultivate and sustain strong partnerships with accounts in your territory, alongside internal teams, to propel business growth.
  • Oversee all facets of the wholesale account portfolio, including but not limited to:
    • Product presentations and training sessions.
    • Strategic business planning, order processing, and operational duties.
    • Management of order books.
    • Merchandising and sales planning for shops.
  • Meet annual sales volume objectives for your territory and key accounts.
  • Attain annual distribution goals for your assigned region.
  • Ensure timely delivery of all orders by the booking deadline.
  • Provide weekly updates to the Channel Sales Manager regarding account status and sales tracking against pre-book and quarterly targets.
  • Identify and nurture new Running Specialty accounts within your designated area.
  • Conduct product and brand training throughout the territory to enhance market sales as necessary.
  • Proactively manage the order book with the designated Sales Support Representative, reviewing open orders regularly to ensure product shipment.
QUALIFICATIONS

To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:

  • A minimum of 3 years in an external sales position, preferably within the Running or sports sector.
  • A college degree is preferred.
  • Experience as a competitive high school or collegiate runner is advantageous.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time is essential.
  • In-depth knowledge and current experience in Running footwear and apparel, including familiarity with competitive brands.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Power-BI).
  • A high degree of energy and professionalism.
  • Strong organizational skills and follow-through capabilities.
  • Ability to effectively present products and brands using PowerPoint and spreadsheet tools.
  • Excellent time management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple tasks while focusing on primary business objectives in a dynamic environment.
