About the Role

We are seeking an experienced IT Systems Administrator II to join our team at Arete in Northridge, CA. As a key member of our IT department, you will provide support for the day-to-day administrative operations and collaborate with other Cyber Security and IT staff members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Integrate, upgrade, and manage domain services and infrastructure systems in a Microsoft Windows Server environment.
  • Configure and administer various line of business applications, IT/Cyber Tools, and other software solutions.
  • Recommend improvements to the company's IT services.
  • Contribute to computer and network security using a variety of security-based products.
  • Manage data backup and restoration systems for the local facility.
  • Provide end user support for local office.
  • Maintain software licensing records and provide support to IT budget planning sessions.
  • Mentor other IT staff and lead technical projects.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in an Information Technology related discipline and/or current, applicable industry-standard certifications (MCSA/Azure, CCNA, Security+, RHCSA).
  • Minimum of 3 years working as a Windows System Administrator, Linux Systems Administrator, Network Administrator or similar role.
  • Proficiency with domain services utilizing Windows Server including Active Directory, DNS, Group Policy, DFS, and DHCP.
  • Advanced IT troubleshooting skills and experience.
  • Active Top Secret security clearance.
  • System administration of Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8 or later.
  • Microsoft 365, Azure or AWS Administration, SharePoint, Veeam Backup & Replication, or SCCM Configuration Manager.
  • Familiarity with classified information system Cyber Security tools and technologies (Nessus/ACAS, SCAP Compliance Checker, DISA STIGs).
  • Experience collaborating with Cyber Security professionals.
