Geotechnical Engineering Specialist

As a Geotechnical Engineering Specialist at System One, you will play a pivotal role in executing subsurface investigations for a variety of civil and landfill projects. Your expertise will encompass site civil design, foundational structures, slope stability, retaining structures, landslide assessments, and pavement analysis. You will also engage in construction materials testing services tailored for commercial and landfill initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee drilling operations and ensure the collection of soil and rock samples.
  • Prepare detailed logs and develop comprehensive laboratory testing programs.
  • Interpret analytical data and conduct thorough geotechnical evaluations.
  • Create in-depth reports that summarize findings and recommendations.
  • Collaborate on projects that serve commercial, retail, institutional, energy, and industrial sectors.

Your role will also include a focus on construction materials testing, specifically for concrete, foundation, masonry, and pavement construction.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on Geotechnical Engineering (Master's degree preferred).
  • A minimum of one year of experience in geotechnical engineering consulting.
  • Strong proficiency in both verbal and written communication.
  • A highly motivated and self-driven individual eager for professional development.
  • Certification as an Engineer-in-Training (E.I.T.) or Professional Engineer (P.E.) is highly desirable.
