Ship Repair Superintendent Job Summary

At Core Group Resources Careers, we are seeking a seasoned professional to oversee and manage all aspects of ship repair and maintenance projects. As a Ship Repair Superintendent, you will be responsible for ensuring project quality and efficiency while leading and managing repair teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Management: Plan, coordinate, and oversee ship repair and maintenance projects from initiation to completion, developing detailed project plans, including schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Team Leadership: Provide direction, support, and training to team members to ensure high performance and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Quality Control and Safety: Implement and monitor quality control processes to ensure that all work is performed to the highest standards, act as the primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders, and address client inquiries and manage expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Financial Management: Develop and manage project budgets, including labor, materials, and equipment costs, and monitor and control project expenditures to ensure cost-effectiveness and adherence to budget constraints.
Requirements:
  • 5-10 years of experience in Marine Construction Supervision, and tradesman experience at the journeyman level in a Marine Construction Field.
  • BA/BS plus 2 years in a related field or AA/AS plus 4 years directly related experience.
  • Proficient computer skills in Outlook, Excel, and Project.
  • Knowledgeability on modern shipbuilding, including the creation and use of build strategies, master schedules, product work breakdown structures, material requirement planning, product modeling, work order creation and budgeting, resource loading, and detailed scheduling.
