Job Summary and Qualifications
The Cardiovascular Technician – CVL (CVT-CVL) is responsible for delivering safe and effective services to patients in the Cardiac Cath Lab and CVL.

The CVT-CVL must thrive in a fast-paced environment and adopt a collaborative approach. Responsibilities include prioritizing and organizing patient flow to optimize time management.

Familiarity with all essential equipment for assigned duties is required, along with the ability to operate such equipment as necessary. A solid understanding of cardiac and vascular anatomy, hemodynamics, and sterile techniques is crucial.

The CVT-CVL's duties encompass proper patient setup, scrubbing, circulating, recording, maintaining sterile techniques, locating and utilizing all supplies, and troubleshooting clinical equipment.

Proficiency in the full range of procedures performed within the Cardiac Cath and CVL space is expected. Independent competency and active participation in departmental procedures and performance measures, including on-call availability, are essential. The CVT-CVL must establish and maintain a positive rapport and professional relationships with colleagues, other departments, and medical staff. They will assess image quality and ensure it meets or exceeds established standards.



Qualifications Required:


- Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 60 days of employment start date.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist certification must be obtained within 12 months from hire for CVT program graduates.
- Registered Radiographer (ARRT) (R) is required; Vascular Interventional Radiography (VI) or (CI) is preferred.

- State of Florida Registered Radiologic Technologist.
- Graduate of an accredited program in Cardiovascular Technology or Radiology Technology.
- Previous experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab is preferred.
