We are seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist PRN to join our team at HCA Florida North Florida Hospital. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients requiring nuclear medicine procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Perform all duties directly involved with procedures utilizing radioactive isotopes for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes in accordance with ALARA standards.
- Operate equipment utilized to measure radiation, produce images, quantify physiologic responses, and relay images and measurements to the physician for interpretation.
- Employ practices and techniques to ensure the safe handling of radioactive materials, especially when dosing patients with radiopharmaceuticals (both orally and intravenously) as prescribed and authorized by the responsible licensed physician.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- State of Florida Registered Radiologic Technologist as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist.
- Graduate from an accredited Nuclear Medicine program.
- Registered Radiographer (ARRT) (N), or Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMTCB).
