Job Summary

The Production Supervisor, Second Shift Leader is responsible for leading a team of production employees to ensure the safe and efficient manufacture of high-quality products. This role is critical to the success of our manufacturing operations and requires a strong leader who can motivate and direct a team to achieve production goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safety and Compliance
    • Ensure a safe working environment for all employees by enforcing safety protocols and procedures.
    • Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
  • Production Planning and Execution
    • Develop and implement production plans to meet customer demands and production schedules.
    • Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members to ensure efficient use of resources.
    • Monitor and control production processes to ensure quality and efficiency.
  • Team Leadership and Development
    • Lead and motivate a team of production employees to achieve production goals.
    • Provide coaching and training to team members to improve their skills and knowledge.
    • Identify and develop talent within the team to ensure succession planning.
  • Communication and Collaboration
    • Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth production operations.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve production issues and improve processes.

Requirements

  • Education and Experience
    • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g. manufacturing, engineering, business) or equivalent experience.
    • Minimum 3 years of experience in a manufacturing leadership role.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Strong leadership and communication skills.
    • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
    • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and equipment.
    • Proficiency in ERP systems and other computer applications.
