  • Establish program objectives, milestones, and implementation plans in partnership with Department of Defense entities and program offices.
  • Offer expertise in architecture, implementation, and engineering disciplines related to AI software and machine learning systems to assess the technical and programmatic viability of commercial solutions against defense requirements.
  • Conduct independent evaluations, detailed technical assessments, and performance analyses of commercial solutions as part of market research and partner proposal evaluations during competitive acquisitions.
  • Review prototype proposals, technical reports, acquisition documents, and related project materials, ensuring that CRM and project databases are accurately maintained.
  • Engage in milestone reviews, ground testing, flight tests, and simulations, as well as assessments of post-test reports and performance data.
  • Foster relationships with key segments of commercial and non-traditional vendor ecosystems, including tech entrepreneurs, startups, venture capitalists, and academic institutions.
  • Prepare white papers, technical documentation, and materials for briefings and meetings.
  • Respond to formal requests for information and other tasks from government partners and stakeholders.
  • Participate in significant intra- and inter-agency meetings.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required:

  • A minimum of 8 years of experience with a Master's Degree in a technical or engineering discipline (e.g., mathematics, physics, or computer science) or business (e.g., MBA). Alternatively, 12 years of experience in project or program management supporting research and development programs and national security missions with a Bachelor's Degree.
  • Experience in supporting the development of commercial AI technologies as a hardware/software engineer or product manager.
  • Prior military experience that enables the candidate to identify problems and define requirements in collaboration with military end users.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading collaborative teams of government and commercial vendors to efficiently deliver project tasks and milestones.
  • Possession of a Secret clearance and the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance.

Desired:
