Role Overview

The Program Management team at Google DeepMind plays a crucial role in coordinating efforts across teams to achieve excellence and accelerate progress towards our mission. About the Position

The Gen AI team within Google DeepMind collaborates with various product and research teams across Alphabet to foster innovative research and implement advanced machine learning algorithms aimed at enhancing Alphabet's offerings. This position will involve close collaboration with Search teams to deliver research-driven solutions across the Search ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the execution of large-scale, cross-functional programs aimed at achieving impactful machine learning applications, ensuring team focus and productivity.
  • Collaborate with your program team to establish and clarify goals and objectives.
  • Monitor progress, maintain current information and relevant technical documentation, and proactively address potential issues and risks.
  • Work closely with engineering team leads as a strategic partner.
  • Facilitate discussions, meetings, and collaborative opportunities within Google DeepMind and across Alphabet product teams to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Assess and enhance processes, tools, templates, and documentation for sustainability and repeatability.
  • Quickly acquire new business and technical skills, adapting to changing environments while ensuring quality assurance for projects and tasks.
  • Conduct technical due diligence to evaluate engineering scope, establish milestones, timelines, and resource requirements.

Candidate Profile

We seek accomplished Technical Program Managers who are eager to contribute to the advancement of our projects.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Extensive expertise in program management, adept at navigating ambiguity and adjusting plans as project conditions evolve.
  • Ability to foster respect, inclusion, and collaboration within teams, building trust with a diverse group of individuals.
  • Exceptional communication skills, capable of distilling complex concepts into clear messages.
  • Proactive in acquiring knowledge to enhance domain expertise.
  • Technical degree or equivalent experience.
  • Interest in AI/machine learning research.

Preferred Qualifications

  • BSc in a relevant technical field or equivalent experience.
  • Familiarity with the Search ecosystem.
  • Solid understanding of machine learning principles.

Compensation

The salary range for this full-time position is competitive, including bonus, equity, and benefits.
