Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Contract and Grants Manager to join our team at the Town of Fairfield, CT. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the identification, application, and reporting of grants to ensure compliance with grant requirements and deadlines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Research and identify potential grant opportunities from various funding sources
  • Develop and submit grant applications, ensuring compliance with grant requirements and deadlines
  • Monitor budgetary and financial aspects of grant use for compliance
  • Provide leadership and guidance on grant processes, ensuring quality of grant proposals, reports, and documentation
  • Ensure prompt reporting and compliance to grant or contract terms and conditions
  • Support the Finance team in preparing accountability reports and overseeing grant funds
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures for grant administration and management
  • Perform research, including needs analysis, literature review, and regulations critique, to identify problems and determine priorities
  • Prepare contracts and agreements related to grant activities
  • Monitor use of grant monies awarded to the Town, ensuring compliance with the Town's Grant Policy and adherence to grant terms and conditions
Requirements
  • Minimum of 3 years of related work experience, with demonstrated knowledge of relevant federal and state grants programs
  • Proficiency in critical writing, Microsoft Office software, and necessary technology to meet job functions
  • Preferred: Bachelor's or Master's degree in business administration, project management, finance, law, or related fields with a strong background in grant management and administrative functions
