Castleton Commodities International is seeking an experienced Energy Management Specialist to join our US Physical Power business in Stamford, CT. This role will play a critical part in the business, overseeing commercial functions related to energy management services for internal and external clients of CCI. These services focus on managing generators in the eastern ISOs of the US. The successful candidate will report to the Lead Energy Management role within the US Physical Power business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform day-to-day energy management activities, including bidding and scheduling of generating units, coordination with fuel suppliers, and communication with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Manage energy management staff, including off-hours responsibilities.
  • Act as a secondary relationship manager for energy management customers.
  • Originate and develop new business opportunities for existing and potential clients.
Requirements
  • Deep understanding of ISO rules and regulations, with a focus on NYISO, PJM, ISONE, and other eastern markets.
  • Strong knowledge of the energy management marketplace and the needs of generators.
  • 7+ years of relevant experience in the energy/commodities industry.
  • Proficiency in ETRM systems (ideally CXL) and Bid-to-Bill systems.
  • Strong organizational/time management skills, with the ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong technical, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to participate in weekend and off-hour on-call rotations as required.
