Accountabilities / Responsibilities:
The Business Office Clerk Lead supervises the business office staff in the areas of registration, insurance verification, and medical records in alignment with facility policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee Accounts Payable tasks to ensure timely and precise processing of facility invoices, patient refunds, and vendor credits.
Guarantee that business office functions are executed efficiently and accurately.
Manage Admissions/Registration processes.
Oversee Insurance Verification procedures.
Ensure Medical Records processes are accurate, complete, and compliant with federal and state regulations.
Maintain business office reference materials.
Manage financial records.
Oversee all office supplies and business office equipment.
Ensure environmental control of the area.
Qualifications:
Required:
High school diploma or GED certificate.
Training or coursework in business office operations.
Three years of experience in a medical facility or medical business office.
Strong ethical and moral character references.
Proficient computer data entry skills.
Preferred:
Supervisory experience and leadership skills.
Experience in Ambulatory Surgery Centers (ASC).
Strong accounting background in a medically related environment.
Basic understanding of accounting procedures.
Strong managed-care expertise with Medicare, Medicaid, and/or third-party payers.
Effective oral and written communication skills.
Basic knowledge of medical terminology.

USD $20.10/Hr.
Max:
USD $25.00/Hr.
