Job Title: Sr. Director, Strategic Operations Services

Medica is seeking a highly experienced and strategic leader to join our team as Sr. Director, Strategic Operations Services. This pivotal role will be responsible for designing, implementing, and measuring strategic programs, as well as leading key operational departments that support critical business functions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement operations' future-state strategy and capability roadmaps, ensuring alignment with Medica's mission, purpose, and enterprise strategies.
  • Provide oversight and leadership of operations' priority projects portfolio, ensuring it addresses organization-wide needs and is properly prioritized and executed.
Budget and Strategic Cost Initiatives:
  • Oversee and manage departmental budgets to ensure financial efficiency and adherence to allocated resources, implementing controls to track budget performance and address variances.
  • Regularly evaluate and improve business procedures according to organizational objectives, adjusting operational budgets to promote profitability and optimize resource allocation.
People and Talent Development:
  • Support an inclusive work environment, enhancing skills, structuring career pathing opportunities, and leadership succession planning.
  • Increase employee engagement, supporting teams through change and adoption of new initiatives.

This role requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record in managing complex projects and leading diverse teams, ensuring alignment with enterprise-level goals while enhancing workforce management, quality assurance, training, operational project management, knowledge management, and operational risk management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • 10+ years of related work experience within healthcare, with an emphasis on leading large-scale projects and implementations.
  • 7+ years of leadership experience with a focus in Operations, preferably within roles reflecting increasing span of responsibility.

Additional Experience and Competencies:

  • Organizational change management experience.
  • Process/workflow design and implementation experience, including development of controls.
  • Data-driven decision making.
  • Working in a matrixed organizational or governance environment, with the ability to influence individuals at all levels of leadership.
  • Ability to provide direction and coaching to individuals not under direct authority.
  • High Emotional Intelligence, executive-level presence, communication, and presentation skills.

This position is a remote role with occasional travel to Minnesota. To be eligible for consideration, candidates must have a primary home address located within any state where Medica is registered as an employer.

The full salary range for this position is $143,500 - $246,000. Annual salary range placement will depend on a variety of factors, including education, work experience, applicable certifications and/or licensure, the position's scope and responsibility, internal pay equity, and external market salary data. In addition to base compensation, this position may be eligible for incentive plan compensation in addition to base salary.
