We are in search of a marketing professional to fill the role of Senior Marketing Content Manager for Dreyfus and Mellon, part of the Mellon Investments Corporation. This position offers a hybrid work arrangement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee a content strategy for Mellon and Dreyfus, collaborating closely with the Marketing team to harness our premier research and insights for clients and prospects.
- Compose thought leadership pieces and provide copywriting assistance across various platforms, including articles, white papers, webinars, brochures, presentations, and internal communications.
- Coordinate virtual events that showcase our personnel and thought leadership, managing invitations, speaker preparation, live events, and recording postings.
- Develop and implement new go-to-market initiatives, defining core positioning, value propositions, and scope, with execution support from the broader marketing team.
- Work proactively with the marketing team to create a digital content strategy, including multimedia and social media distribution, that aligns with the overall content agenda.
- Foster strong relationships with subject-matter experts and business development teams to produce high-quality marketing materials focused on strategic growth objectives.
- Adhere to strict deadlines, employing effective project management skills to ensure error-free content development, execution of internal and external events, and distribution.
- Collaborate with the team to create innovative marketing and content strategies that support key strategic initiatives, taking ownership of editing, writing, and producing a wide range of client-focused content.
- Understand and comply with editorial standards and processes, as well as standard operating procedures for communications and events.
- Stay informed about emerging industry trends to identify new opportunities.
- Support or lead events as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field is preferred.
- 4-6 years of experience in marketing, content marketing, or editorial roles is preferred.
- 1-3 years of experience in event management is preferred.
- 1-3 years of experience in investments or financial services is preferred.
- Proven ability to manage multiple high-priority projects to completion under tight deadlines using strong project management and time management skills.
- Flexibility to take direction and work collaboratively or independently.
- Capability to thrive in a fast-paced, frequently changing environment within a complex, highly regulated industry.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Excel, and Word, as well as Adobe Acrobat and Workfront is preferred.
- Experience with the ethical use of AI technology for content development and editing is preferred.
- Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (e.g., InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects, Acrobat Pro) is a plus.
- Experience in marketing communications and campaign/content production.
- Experience collaborating on projects with diverse cross-functional teams, including web specialists, designers, subject-matter experts, project managers, business development teams, and third-party vendors.
