Job Summary:

As a Respiratory Therapist at DMC Harper University/Hutzel Women's Hospital, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our team. Under general supervision, you will provide respiratory therapy services throughout the continuum of care, collaborating with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop optimal cardiopulmonary care plans for patients.

You will perform patient assessments, evaluate the appropriateness and effectiveness of therapy, and determine which respiratory care activities can be delegated to other care team members. Additionally, you will instruct employees and students in the principles and practices of designated respiratory care procedures/tasks and evaluate their competence.

Qualifications:
  • Graduation from an AMA/CoARC approved Respiratory Care program.
  • Registration (RRT) by the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC).
  • BCLS certification required. ACLS certification preferred.
  • Licensure to practice as a Respiratory Therapist in the State of Michigan.
