Job Title: Registered Respiratory Therapist

At the Detroit Medical Center, we are seeking a highly skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist to join our team.

Job Summary:

As a Registered Respiratory Therapist, you will be responsible for providing respiratory therapy services to patients with cardiopulmonary disorders. You will work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide therapeutic and rehabilitative procedures for patients with cardiopulmonary disorders.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement care plans.
  • Perform patient assessments and evaluate the effectiveness of therapy.
  • Instruct employees and students in respiratory care procedures and evaluate their competence.
Requirements:
  • Graduation from an AMA/CoARC approved Respiratory Care program.
  • Registration (RRT) by the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC).
  • BCLS certification required, ACLS certification preferred.
  • Licensure to practice as a Respiratory Therapist in the State of Michigan.
