Job Title: Registered Respiratory Therapist

St. Joseph's Healthcare System is a leading healthcare organization recognized for its expertise and compassion. We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist to join our team.

Job Summary

Under the supervision of a physician, the Registered Respiratory Therapist will provide respiratory care to patients, including administering medical gases and aerosolized drugs. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical ability to resolve problems and excellent communication skills to explain procedures to patients and their families.

Responsibilities
  • Provide respiratory care to patients, including administering medical gases and aerosolized drugs
  • Check equipment regularly for proper functioning and record data obtained during therapy and diagnostic testing
  • Draw, analyze, and report ABGs to physicians and nurses
  • Participate in adult ventilator weaning protocol and MDI protocol
  • Embody the values of St. Joseph's Healthcare System, including embracing excellence and relationship-based care
Requirements
  • Graduate of an approved A.M.A. school for Respiratory Therapy
  • Certified Respiratory Therapist and Licensed as a Respiratory Therapist by the New Jersey State Board of Respiratory Care
  • Registration required as a Respiratory Therapist
