Job Title: Respiratory Therapist

We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at the Detroit Medical Center. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare team.

Job Summary:

The Respiratory Therapist will be responsible for providing therapeutic and rehabilitative procedures and diagnostic tests for patients with cardiopulmonary abnormalities. This includes assessing patients, evaluating the appropriateness and effectiveness of therapy, and collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop optimal cardiopulmonary care plans.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide respiratory therapy services to patients with cardiopulmonary abnormalities
  • Assess patients and evaluate the appropriateness and effectiveness of therapy
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop optimal cardiopulmonary care plans
  • Perform diagnostic tests and procedures as needed
  • Document patient information and treatment plans
Requirements:
  • Completion of an AMA/CoARC approved Respiratory Care program
  • Must obtain licensure to practice as a Respiratory Therapist in the State of Michigan within five months
