Job Summary

We are seeking a seasoned Executive Sales Strategist to join our team at Veolia North America. This individual will be responsible for identifying, developing, and executing long-term industrial contracts that meet our targets for business type, risk profile, and pricing.

We offer a full spectrum of water, waste, and energy management services, including water and wastewater treatment, commercial and hazardous waste collection and disposal, energy consulting, and resource recovery. Our team helps commercial, industrial, healthcare, higher education, and municipality customers throughout North America. Salary and Benefits

This position offers an estimated annual salary range of $150,000 to $200,000, depending on experience. We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including paid time off policies, health, dental, and vision insurance, as well as an employer-sponsored 401(k) plan. Pay and benefits for employees represented by a union are outlined in their collective bargaining agreement.

Responsibilities

As an Executive Sales Strategist, you will lead the sales process, researching customer needs and developing strategies to meet those needs. You will interpret customer requirements, determine which products best meet those requirements, and recommend new products and applications for emerging developments in respective market segments. You will work closely with Veolia Engineering and Operations to adapt existing products to market needs and prepare and make sales presentations focusing on value to the customer.

You will also manage proposal preparation, pricing, and presentations to customers, conduct proposal meetings, assign tasks, set deadlines, track progress, communicate, and compile information from involved departments to ensure that customer requirements and deadlines are met. Additionally, you will maintain current business development databases, prepare monthly reports, and internal memos to communicate opportunities, take corrective actions, and assist with forecasting.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent technical and commercial experience. You will typically have at least ten years of progressive sales experience in a related field, with a proven track record and demonstrated aptitude with complex business transactions, pricing, and project finance, financial models, and spreadsheets. You will also need excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to review, comprehend, and negotiate complex legal contracts.

Work Environment

This role requires frequent travel (65-75%) and involves working in an office environment, with 50% of time spent in customer office locations and 30% coordinating sales activities in market areas.
