Position Overview:
Are you looking for a role where your expertise in asset management and logistics can make a significant impact on project success? In this position, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the lifecycle of IT assets, ensuring that resources are utilized efficiently and effectively throughout the project.

Your Responsibilities:
As an IT Asset Management Specialist, you will provide comprehensive support to an information technology program office, guiding the logistics lifecycle from inception to completion. Your duties will include:

  • Collaborating with program leadership to monitor and manage integrated logistics support tasks and timelines.
  • Maintaining an accurate inventory of both current and legacy hardware and software assets.
  • Overseeing software management, including tracking version numbers, licenses, and usage statistics.
  • Executing logistical functions such as the shipping, receiving, tracking, and disposal of IT equipment and software.
  • Contributing to integrated product team briefings and assisting in the creation of program acquisition documentation.
  • Engaging regularly with various logistics support teams, product managers, and subject matter experts.

Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you should possess:
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in logistics, materials management, or supply chain management.
  • Proven experience in asset lifecycle management and product lifecycle management processes.
  • Experience in providing direct logistics or engineering support, including planning, documentation, and tracking of engineering projects.
  • Proficiency in using database management systems to maintain extensive logistical data.
  • Expertise in designing scalable processes within supply chain management and logistics.
  • Knowledge of inventory management, transportation, and compliance with financial improvement and audit readiness standards.
  • Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • A valid Secret clearance.
  • A high school diploma or GED.

Preferred Qualifications:
While not required, the following qualifications are advantageous:
  • Experience managing acquisition category programs.
  • Familiarity with DoD acquisition programs and policies.
  • Ability to coordinate with cross-matrix organizations to ensure comprehensive review of contract deliverables.
  • Experience in developing lifecycle processes for IT program sustainment.
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies and IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) practices.
  • A Bachelor’s degree.

Clearance Requirement:
Selected candidates will undergo a security investigation and must meet eligibility criteria for access to classified information; a Secret clearance is mandatory.
