Salary and BenefitsAs an Administrative Assistant at Betzold Law, you can expect a competitive salary range of $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience. Additionally, you'll be eligible for benefits such as health insurance, paid time off, and retirement savings options.
Job DescriptionThe ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, excellent written and verbal communication abilities, and a passion for immigration law. As an Administrative Assistant, you'll play a crucial role in providing administrative support to our attorneys and staff, while also managing front desk duties and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for clients.
Responsibilities include:
- Assisting attorneys with drafting and proofreading legal documents, including immigration petitions, forms, and correspondence.
- Maintaining client files, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with relevant regulations.
- Conducting research on immigration laws and procedures to support attorneys in case preparation.
- Coodinating and scheduling client meetings, court appearances, and other appointments.
- Preparing and filing legal forms and applications with government agencies.
Required Skills and QualificationsTo be successful in this role, you'll need:
- A high school diploma or equivalent (additional education or certification is a plus).
- Proven experience as a legal secretary or administrative assistant in an immigration law firm or related field.
- Strong knowledge of immigration law procedures, forms, and terminology.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a professional and friendly demeanor.
- Proficiency in using legal software and tools, including case management systems and MS Office Suite.
- Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize assignments effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in preparing legal documents and managing client files.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
- Excellent time management skills, with the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
- Bilingual proficiency (English and Spanish) is mandatory.
