Currently, our client is set to develop and publish a new video game adaptation of a beloved tabletop and digital collectible card game enjoyed by millions globally.

Role Overview:

The Executive Producer will serve as the Studio Head, overseeing the overall business and organizational structure for the new video game, reporting directly to the CEO. The ideal candidate is eager to engage in the gaming industry and assist the company in crafting thrilling experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the overall strategy and success of the studio as a business entity.
  • Guide the team in defining and directing the long-term vision and trajectory of the game intellectual property for both the studio and franchise.
  • Take charge of the vision for product, processes, practices, personnel, and tools across the entire franchise.
  • Implement and drive the execution of the business plan for both the studio and franchise intellectual property.
  • Develop an execution strategy in line with the established vision.
  • Prioritize and organize tasks into short-, medium-, and long-term objectives to ensure successful execution of the business plan.
  • Refine the resource allocation, team structure, and organizational framework to effectively implement the plan.
  • Collaborate with department leaders to establish and maintain the product vision, scope, staffing plan, schedule, and budget.
  • Oversee the development, management, and direction of live game services and operations, including content production, systems, and features for the live game.
  • Explore and lead the creation of an investment strategy for new game opportunities within the studio's core intellectual property.
  • Manage studio and development teams, ensuring effective staffing across all essential disciplines (production, design, engineering, art, live service, product management, project management, and operations).
  • Drive the financial performance of the studio, encompassing existing live titles and new investments.
  • Regularly report on game and business performance to stakeholders and the publisher.
  • Foster relationships with partner teams and shared services to support the game.
  • Act as a dedicated ambassador for the game intellectual property.

Qualifications:

  • Over ten years of experience in production, development, and product management for live game-as-a-service products.
  • Held leadership positions for more than three years within the broader ten-plus years of gaming experience.
  • Proven success in launching multiple titles, particularly in cross-platform and large-scale live operations.
  • In-depth knowledge and practical experience in designing and managing Free-to-Play Game-as-a-Service (F2P GaaS) economies.
  • Expertise in data analytics and a commitment to data-driven decision-making, including familiarity with A/B testing frameworks.
  • Ability to utilize data for estimating expected outcomes, evaluating potential Return on Investment (ROI), and prioritizing tasks.
  • Extensive experience in market analysis and consumer/player management analysis.
  • Significant experience in process-driven software development life cycle (SDLC) with a proven track record of high-quality development and execution against plans.
  • A passion for hands-on involvement in daily decision-making, coupled with a strong focus on the overarching vision.
