Eram Talent is in search of a highly qualified and seasoned Senior Aquaculture Research Leader to become a vital part of our client's team.

In this role, you will take charge of directing and overseeing aquaculture research and development initiatives, while also offering technical knowledge and support to enhance the growth and sustainability of aquaculture operations.

The primary responsibility of this position involves managing and supervising the aquaculture production team, collaborating closely with other department heads to ensure adherence to operational standards.

Your role will encompass maintaining and facilitating the overall production and operational efficiency of the facility, which includes managing systems, work schedules, and production timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee aquaculture research and development projects, including planning, execution, and reporting.
  • Provide expert guidance in aquaculture production, nutrition, genetics, health, and sustainability.
  • Conduct scientific research and experiments aimed at enhancing aquaculture practices, improving fish health and welfare, and optimizing production efficiency.
  • Stay informed about the latest advancements in aquaculture technology and implement improvements in operations.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to devise and implement innovative solutions for aquaculture challenges.
  • Train and mentor junior scientists and technicians.
  • Prepare and present reports, publications, and presentations on research findings and industry trends.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and best practices in aquaculture.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate should possess a recognized degree in Life Science, Biology, or Aquaculture.

With a minimum of 10 years of experience in project and production management, including at least 5 years in marine hatchery operations, preferably with endemic species.

Expertise in managing Recirculating Aquaculture Systems (RAS) is essential, and familiarity with the Delta V operating system is advantageous.

Comprehensive knowledge of aquaculture production systems, fish performance, nutrition, health management, and sustainable practices is required.

Understanding of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and techniques for optimizing the manufacture and distribution of aquaculture products is crucial.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are necessary, with the ability to collaborate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.

Proficiency in scientific research methodologies, data analysis software, and presentation tools is expected.

The ability to work independently and as part of a team, along with strong leadership and project management skills, is essential.

Flexibility and adaptability are key, with the capacity to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
