Job Title: Department Administrator - Ophthalmology and Visual Science

Rutgers University is seeking a highly skilled Department Administrator to join our team in the Ophthalmology and Visual Science department. As a key member of our administrative staff, you will play a critical role in supporting the clinical and academic efforts of the department.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate the development, organization, and evaluation of health services that support the clinical efforts of the department.
  • Supervise assigned staff members and ensure effective administrative support for the department.
  • Develop and implement departmental administrative policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate department-wide initiatives to increase efficiencies administratively and clinically.
  • Work with Clinical Management to plan, execute, and measure clinical marketing campaigns.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Hospital Administration, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Five years of experience in coordinating administrative and fiscal activities, information systems activities, expediting programs, assessing personnel, and formulating policies preferably in a healthcare environment.
  • At least three years of experience in a managerial capacity.
