The Telephone Assistant plays a crucial role within the Telecommunications Department, delivering exceptional customer service to both medical professionals and patients at the University of Maryland Medical System. This position is essential for managing communications effectively through the telephone switchboard, ensuring seamless interactions for in-patients and out-patients alike.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct customer service and support via telephone.
  • Utilize knowledge of telecommunications practices to assist callers efficiently.
  • Work various shifts, including day, evening, and weekends, as required.
  • Be available for call-in duties as necessary.
