About the Role
As Sales Director, you will oversee a team of Sales Directors and Sales Engineers, playing a hands-on role in sales activities, managing large-scale contracts, and driving the local team's success.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide operational leadership across all functions in the AMER region
- Build, recruit, and nurture a high-performing team spanning Sales, Commercial, Finance & Operations, and Client Services
- Foster a strong local culture and team spirit within our AMER region
- Lead deep contract negotiations and ensure alignment with company strategy
- Develop and expand our market proposition across North America
- Cultivate relationships with executive sponsors, influencers, and decision-makers to support sales targets
- Enable the sales team to surpass annual regional targets for software licensing and professional services contracts
- Establish credibility by engaging directly with clients during key stages of the sales process
Requirements
Essential:
- Minimum 15+ years of progressive sales leadership experience
- Proven track record exceeding enterprise software sales targets in North America, ideally within large corporations or scaleups
- High energy, gravitas, and enthusiasm are essential for leading and inspiring teams
- Extensive network within the banking industry
- Recognised for advisory skills, delivering solutions that drive tangible value
- Expertise in banking procurement processes and enterprise platform sales lifecycle
- Deep understanding of challenges facing retail banks in North America, including technological, regulatory, and commercial pressures
- Ability to influence C-suite decision-makers both externally and internally
Desirable:
- Knowledge and experience with cloud infrastructure technology
- Consultative sales experience within the retail banking sector
