Pre-Sales Solutions Architect (Network Security)

Position Overview

The Pre-Sales Solutions Architect serves as a pivotal technical Subject Matter Expert (SME). This role requires a visionary thinker who can conceptualize overarching solutions while possessing deep expertise in specific technical domains. You will enhance our credibility with clients, showcase solutions, and deliver pre-sales and market-entry support for key accounts. Collaborating closely with the Sales Specialist, you will drive sales initiatives and expand our pipeline. Additionally, you will nurture technical partnerships with leading vendors and stay informed about the latest advancements in solutions relevant to our security focus.

Compensation

Salary range: $160K - $180K USD + Commission

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with business leaders to implement services that align with corporate goals and uphold our core values.
  • Provide extensive subject matter expertise while demonstrating the capability to execute tactical tasks.
  • Offer technical marketing insights, thought leadership, and related assistance.
  • Formulate and execute the Go to Market (GTM) strategy, ensuring successful implementation.
  • Engage with critical accounts to establish credibility and develop tailored technical solutions.
  • Stay updated on technological solutions and maintain active engagement with vendors.
  • Produce comprehensive technical design documentation, including Technical Presentations, Visio Diagrams, Level of Effort (LOE), and Bill of Materials (BOM).
  • Work closely with key vendors to enhance solution offerings.
  • Participate in customer strategy meetings to comprehend and articulate both business and technical strategies.
  • Evaluate designs or opportunities and generate technical architecture/design documentation.
  • Collaborate with Vendors/Partners to remain informed about current and emerging technologies, products, and strategies throughout the solution lifecycle.
  • Act as the Design Authority for designated key accounts.
  • Contribute as a technical designer on large-scale, mission-critical customer projects.
  • Advise peers on future technology and service recommendations.
  • Conduct research on technology and produce associated white papers to promote our offerings.
  • Maintain a high level of industry awareness through ongoing training and self-development.
  • Manage customer demonstrations and Proofs of Concept effectively.
  • Develop service offerings that leverage newly released products, ensuring the validity of functionality claims.
  • Ensure proposed solutions are valid and meet customer requirements.
  • Embrace and promote the mission and core values of Computacenter.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems (MIS), or equivalent experience.
  • 3 – 5 years of experience in presales engineering and solution development.
  • Broad understanding of technology and adaptability to new advancements.
  • Preferred experience in technology implementation.
  • Expertise in one or more technology areas such as enterprise infrastructure, data center infrastructure, cybersecurity, collaboration, or hybrid cloud solutions.
  • Ability to cultivate client relationships and deliver compelling solutions architecture presentations.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Relevant vendor certifications as necessary.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Capability to design intricate technical solutions.
  • Industry-leading qualifications or accreditations in relevant technology areas.
  • In-depth knowledge of IT Infrastructure technology and its business applications.
  • Proven ability to contribute to commercial/technical documents and develop solution-specific business cases.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
  • Specialized knowledge in a specific technology domain.
  • Understanding of service methodologies.
  • Vendor certifications are advantageous.
