Job Overview

The Northwest Regional Re-Entry Center (NWRRC) is a dedicated non-profit organization operating within the Criminal Justice sector since 1964. We manage a residential re-entry facility with over 150 beds, offering comprehensive transitional services for individuals reintegrating into society post-incarceration, as well as for probation clients facing sanctions for supervised release violations and those under community restoration orders.

Position Summary: We are on the lookout for a driven Resident Re-Entry Specialist to join our Security Department. In this role, you will be pivotal in maintaining a secure and safe atmosphere for our staff, visitors, and residents who are transitioning back into society. Your responsibilities will include ensuring residents are held accountable for their actions while treating them with the utmost dignity and respect. This role is primarily focused on accountability and security.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee resident activities and behaviors to guarantee adherence to facility rules and regulations.
  • Ensure a safe and orderly environment within the facility.
  • Conduct regular patrols, headcounts, and thorough searches of the premises, including resident rooms and property.
  • Respond effectively to emergencies and take necessary actions.
  • Maintain precise records of incidents and activities in the facility log.
  • Administer observed urinalysis and breathalyzer tests for residents and contract clients.
  • Manage and dispense resident medications appropriately.
  • Monitor electronic tracking reports (GPS) for residents under home confinement.
  • Control and document all entries and exits from the facility.
  • Track resident accountability during approved absences.
  • Serve as the primary contact for law enforcement and related agencies.

Compensation: Starting hourly rates are $26.06 for Resident Re-Entry Specialist I and $27.61 for Resident Re-Entry Specialist II. Your relevant experience and education will determine your position and starting pay. Additionally, we offer a 3% pay differential for swing shifts and a 5% differential for graveyard shifts.

Shift Requirements: Staff must be available for any shift throughout the week. New hires will be assigned shifts based on current vacancies, with preferences given based on seniority. Schedules consist of five 8-hour shifts with two consecutive days off. Day shifts run from 7am to 3pm, swing shifts from 3pm to 11pm, and graveyard shifts from 11pm to 7am.

Benefits: Full-time employees will receive a competitive benefits package, including:

  • Paid Time Off: Security staff are entitled to 24 days of PTO and vacation annually, along with 12 days of sick leave.
  • Healthcare: We cover 100% of medical, vision, and dental premiums for employees, and 50% for spouses and dependents. Coverage begins the first of the month following hire.
  • Retirement: We offer an employer-funded Simplified Employee Pension plan, with eligibility after one year and a quarterly contribution of 7%.
  • Tuition Assistance: We will reimburse up to 50% of tuition costs for degrees or certificates in related fields after six months of employment.
  • Fitness Incentive: Employees can receive up to $50 monthly for gym memberships or fitness activities.
