Job Title: Training Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Training Coordinator to join our team at The Northwest Regional Re-entry Center. This is a critical role that will play a key part in fostering a professional, knowledgeable, and effective team dedicated to our mission.

Job Summary:

The Training Coordinator will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing a comprehensive training program for new and existing staff members. This includes designing and delivering training sessions, creating training materials, and mentoring internal staff to ensure consistent, high-quality training aligned with organizational standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a structured and comprehensive training program tailored to the specific needs of the re-entry center.
  • Create training materials, manuals, and guides that align with organizational policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Deliver training sessions to new hires and existing staff, using various instructional methods.
  • Provide clear and effective instruction on operational procedures, safety protocols, conflict resolution, and resident management.
  • Ensure training methods are engaging, effective, and inclusive, accommodating diverse learning styles.
  • Foster a positive learning environment that encourages open communication and professional development.
  • Act as a mentor and guide for staff, offering support, feedback, and encouragement.
  • Address any training challenges or concerns raised by staff and provide appropriate solutions as needed.
  • Observe and assess staff training performance, providing constructive feedback and recommendations for improvement.
  • Conduct regular evaluations and performance reviews to track staff progress and identify areas needing further development.
  • Prepare detailed reports on staff performance and program effectiveness for review by Senior management.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree preferred, or any combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to effectively perform the job.
  • Relevant experience in corrections, law enforcement, adult education, or related fields preferred.
  • Experience in a supervisory or training role preferred.
  • Proven ability to coach, mentor, and guide individuals to achieve their full potential.
  • Expertise in developing and delivering educational curriculum tailored for adult learners.
  • In-depth knowledge of relevant policies, procedures, and industry best practices.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to foster collaboration and team success.
  • Ability to objectively evaluate performance and provide actionable, constructive feedback.
  • Highly organized with strong administrative and time management skills.
  • Capable of working independently and demonstrating initiative.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other related software applications.
