Job Summary

The EHS Coordinator is a vital position within the plant, responsible for monitoring all safety procedures and activities. This role requires strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to multi-task and maintain a high level of ethicacy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement improvements to safety in the plant using knowledge of plant operations, specific safety issues, regulations, and Corporate practices.
  • Lead and participate in safety teams and programs to ensure completion of facility safety plan.
  • Act as a resource and provide leadership during emergencies and special projects.
  • Monitor, follow up, and ensure completion of corrective actions for entries into the Incident Reporting System.
  • Maintain existing safety programs, systems, processes, and documentation.
  • Conduct safety and environmental audits and trend analysis to ensure safety parameters are understood.
  • Conduct incident and near miss investigations with the assistance of the Gresham EHS Leader.
  • Provide safety training facilitation and/or method/procedure adherence.
  • Coordinate and communicate safety issues with plant personnel and perform safety equipment inspections and initiate repair processes as needed.
  • Ensure safety standards and regulations are being met and followed.
  • Ensure environmental standards and regulations are being met and followed.
  • Act as management and a regulatory liaison.
  • Train-the-Trainer qualified in job-specific areas as necessary.
  • Promote the well-being of an injury-free life for all employees.
Requirements
  • Ability to work flexible hours to cover multiple shifts and departments.
  • Regular attendance on site and the ability to work varying or rotating shifts.
  • Exposure to hot/cold temperature- continuously.
  • Exposure to noise- continuously.
  • Lifting/carrying/moving up to 50 pounds.
  • Twisting and Bending - occasionally.
  • Sitting- occasionally.
  • Walking - occasionally.
  • Hand/Eye Coordination- frequently.
  • Standing- frequently.
