Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Director to lead the Sheboygan County Warming Center in its mission to provide a safe and welcoming environment for individuals experiencing homelessness. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of social services, strategic planning, and team management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Development and Management
    • Develop and implement long-term and annual program plans to ensure the organization's mission and goals are met.
    • Oversee the development and administration of programs and services consistent with the organization's mission, goals, and policies.
    • Recommend and implement changes to programs and services as needed.
  • Policy and Governance
    • Recommend and advise the Board of Directors on policy development and strategic planning.
    • Assist the Board in periodic assessments of the organization's goals, role, and function in the community.
  • Human Resources and Staff Management
    • Recruit, hire, and manage a diverse team of staff to achieve the organization's mission.
    • Provide direction, supervision, training, and evaluation of program and department managers.
    • Oversee staff evaluations, training, and development plans.
  • Fiscal Management and Resource Development
    • Develop and administer long-term financial plans and annual budgets.
    • Oversee the development and administration of fundraising plans to ensure adequate resources for programs and operations.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Master's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Four years of related experience in social services, program management, and team leadership.
  • Skills and Qualifications
    • Proven track record of progressive growth in program development, human resource management, and financial responsibilities.
    • Ability to plan, organize, and communicate effectively.
    • Advanced proficiency in personal computers, accounting software, and Microsoft Office.
    • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
