Job Overview
The Mechanical Project Engineer plays a crucial role in overseeing engineering initiatives from inception to completion. This position demands a blend of technical expertise, organizational acumen, and strong communication skills to develop effective material handling solutions.

Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Sales to craft equipment proposals, leveraging engineering analysis and design proficiency.
- Support Project Managers during system commissioning and provide field assistance.
- Assess project requirements to strategize component design and select appropriate system elements.
- Analyze manufacturing feasibility, estimate costs, and evaluate maintenance needs for diverse material handling systems.
- Create system layouts and design specific components using advanced 2D and 3D CAD software, ensuring optimization for cost and functionality.
- Document engineering designs through specifications and user manuals.
- Oversee production processes, including method selection and fabrication, while assisting procurement with parts ordering and supplier evaluation.
- Facilitate coordination among various engineering disciplines, purchasing, project management, and site integration.
- Maintain comprehensive records and prepare clear meeting notes, letters, and technical reports.
- Establish project timelines by reviewing plans and specifications, calculating time requirements, and sequencing project tasks.
- Analyze project specifications by examining product designs, customer needs, and performance criteria.
- Lead projects with budgets up to 10 million USD.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 3 to 7 years of practical experience in manufacturing and project engineering, preferably in automated machinery and material handling equipment design.
- A diverse background in various machine technologies, including control systems, pneumatics, and hydraulics.
- Proficiency in 2D and 3D CAD modeling software.
- Ability to analyze and design fundamental mechanical components utilizing mechanical engineering principles.
- Knowledge of drafting, dimensioning, tolerancing, and manufacturing processes.
- Strong time management skills, attention to detail, and a quick learning ability.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Professional demeanor with a positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.
- Effective listening skills and the ability to apply engineering principles to complex mechanical challenges.
- Familiarity with IBC and OSHA standards for material handling equipment.
- Proficient use of project engineering tools and techniques.
