Position Summary:

Under the supervision of the Area Service Manager (ASM), the Commercial Food Service Equipment (FSE) Technician is responsible for the cleaning, adjustment, and repair of various systems. This role involves fieldwork related to the installation, maintenance, modification, overhaul, service, and repair of commercial food service equipment. Prioritizing customer satisfaction, safety, and comfort is essential for success in this position. The Commercial FSE Technician should possess patience, strong organizational skills, and troubleshooting abilities, while also assisting customers with inquiries.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and technical expertise to our clients.
  • Install, troubleshoot, repair, and calibrate commercial food service equipment.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance and recommend necessary parts replacements or system overhauls.
  • Be available for on-call emergency duties on a rotating schedule.
  • Identify additional maintenance needs and report them to the appropriate supervisor.
  • Communicate safety concerns to the Field Supervisor or Service Manager.
  • Consult with clients regarding issues discovered during service.
  • Document work tickets and communicate with vendors for parts procurement.
  • Travel to job sites within assigned service areas and coordinate schedules with the Service Coordinator.
  • Assist in evaluating new and existing customer accounts.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed and service recommendations.
  • Ensure all paperwork is submitted at the end of each workday.
  • Maintain the company vehicle in good condition.
  • Diagnose service issues and communicate necessary repairs to clients.
  • Participate in ongoing training to stay current in the field.
  • Identify opportunities for additional business.
  • Adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Essential Skills and Experience:
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work independently and dependably.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Willingness to travel to client sites as needed.
  • Capability to install parts on diagnosed equipment.
  • Must be able to perform on-call duties as required.
Education:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Relevant industry certification or license preferred.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to drive for extended periods.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Capable of climbing ladders and accessing rooftops.
  • Must be able to work in various weather conditions.
  • Regular use of hands and fingers for manual tasks.
