Job Summary:

The Financial Accounting Foundation (FAF) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Technical Project Manager to lead technical projects and research activities for the Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB). The successful candidate will be responsible for managing complex projects, leading cross-functional teams, and developing high-quality analysis and recommendations for the GASB.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Management: Develop and manage project plans, timelines, and budgets to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and motivate cross-functional teams, including technical staff, to achieve project goals and objectives.
  • Analysis and Recommendations: Develop high-quality analysis and recommendations for the GASB, including research reports, technical memoranda, and other documents.
  • Communication: Effectively communicate with stakeholders, including GASB Board members, staff, and external stakeholders, to ensure project goals and objectives are met.
  • Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including GASB Board members, staff, and external stakeholders, to ensure project goals and objectives are met.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure high-quality project deliverables, including research reports, technical memoranda, and other documents.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • Experience: At least 10 years of experience in project management, technical analysis, and stakeholder management.
  • Skills: Strong project management skills, including experience with project planning, team leadership, and stakeholder management. Strong analytical and communication skills, including experience with research reports, technical memoranda, and other documents.

Working Conditions:

The Senior Technical Project Manager will work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously. The successful candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
