Job Overview

We are currently seeking a Payroll Specialist to enhance our finance team. This role is integral to ensuring the precise processing and documentation of payroll, delivering timely financial insights, and engaging in daily payroll operations. This position requires attendance at our office.

Key Responsibilities
  • Verify the accuracy of entered and imported time in payroll systems.
  • Execute routine and specialized payroll department functions.
  • Oversee workflow to guarantee all payroll activities are processed correctly and punctually.
  • Reconcile payroll prior to submission and confirm the accuracy of reports.
  • Comprehend the appropriate taxation for employer-paid benefits.
  • Calculate and manage garnishments in compliance with regulations.
  • Facilitate accurate year-end reporting as required (W-2, W-2c, etc.).
  • Generate financial and operational reports as necessary.
  • Provide support within the payroll department and assist with other accounting tasks as needed.
Qualifications
  • A minimum of two (2) years of experience in payroll support is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with Davis Bacon Payroll processing is advantageous.
  • Background in construction is preferred but not mandatory.

Compensation and Benefits
  • Hourly pay rate of $25 to $31 based on experience.
  • Medical Insurance:
    • Year 1 – Employer covers 80% of family premiums.
    • Years 2 & 3 – Employer covers 90% of family premiums.
    • Years 4 or more - Employer covers 100% of family premiums.
