About the Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Accountant to join our team at CityServiceValcon, LLC. As a key member of our accounting department, you will be responsible for assisting with the oversight of daily activities for the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable departments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the monitoring of adherence to internal control procedures and daily procedures for A/P and A/R departments.
  • Conduct various General Ledger account reviews and reconciliations as assigned.
  • Assist with month-end closing procedures and other related tasks.
  • Obtain supporting documentation for internal and external audit requests.
  • Suggest and implement improvements and efficiencies in processes and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, with 2+ years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience with Sage 100 is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • General understanding of US GAAP and other accounting concepts.
  • Proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft Office Suite applications.
  • Awareness and adherence to internal controls.
  • Ability to research and problem solve independently.
  • Ability to complete multiple tasks and deliver on time.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
