Job Summary

This is a National Guard position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment. The selected candidate will be required to be in a compatible military assignment prior to the effective date of placement.

Responsibilities
  • Processes a wide range of human resources transactions related to recruitment and placement, classification, employee relations, human resource development, and/or incentive awards.
  • Provides technical assistance in the area of recruitment and placement, participates in the execution of the merit placement/promotion program, and assists classification specialists by performing job audits and making classification determinations.
  • Provides technical assistance in executing the employee relations program, including resolving minor employee problems, conducting fact-finding investigations, and researching pertinent guidance to assist in problem resolution.
  • Explains provisions of employee benefits and services programs to employees and supervisors, and provides assistance to the Human Resources Development Specialist in planning and developing courses based on the needs of the organization and workforce.
Requirements
  • Must possess clerical or administrative experience or training that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.
  • Must possess 6 months of specialized experience in one or more areas of personnel operations, including making person-to-person contacts to explain regulatory, procedural, and policy requirements, processing transactions of an unusually complicated nature, and following oral or written instructions to accomplish work.
  • Must possess 9 months of specialized experience in one or more areas of human resources personnel operations, including making person-to-person contacts to explain regulatory, procedural, and policy requirements, processing transactions of an unusually complicated nature, and preparing reports using data from various government source documents and according to prescribed guidelines.
  • Must possess 12 months of specialized experience in interpreting and analyzing regulations, policies, and procedures relating to a wide variety of civil service human resources specialties to provide advice or counseling to employees and supervisors.
Education

If you are using Education to qualify for this position, you must possess 3 academic years of education in an accredited college or university and at least 90 semester hours of study.

You must provide transcripts or other documentation to support your Educational claims.

To receive credit for Education, you must provide documentation of proof that you meet the Education requirements for this position.
