Position Overview

ROLE SUMMARY:

The Program Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting the treatment objectives of clients, assisting them in their journey towards achieving personal goals.

EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND:

A Bachelor's Degree or higher is required.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:

Prior experience working with adults facing mental health challenges and leading group sessions is preferred.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Oversee a caseload of 5-15 clients, which includes:
  • Conducting necessary assessments for new clients and regularly for existing clients
  • Collaborating with clients to create and update treatment plans as needed
  • Meeting with clients individually to discuss their progress and any obstacles
  • Maintaining communication with relevant parties to ensure coordinated care
  • Planning discharge strategies when clients are ready to transition from the program
Lead various therapeutic and skill-enhancement groups throughout the day:
  • Employ evidence-based materials in group facilitation
Adhere to documentation and billing standards for all services, ensuring accuracy in all records.Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to develop and implement effective interventions for optimal client support.Represent the program at community meetings as necessary.Ensure a safe, secure, and supportive environment for all clients.Work alongside the CN Guidance team to foster a culture of continuous quality improvement aimed at enhancing client care.Complete required training during onboarding and annually, as well as program-specific training for skill enhancement and client care optimization.Facilitate the sharing of relevant data with clients to promote informed decision-making and transparency regarding their progress.Participate in Quality Improvement (QI) training during onboarding and refresher sessions as needed.Identify and engage in quality improvement initiatives as part of professional development.Encourage a culture of quality improvement and provide resources for ongoing professional development.Foster an inclusive environment that values the diverse strengths, perspectives, and experiences of all employees, leading to better decision-making and innovation.Adhere to all safety protocols to maintain a secure working environment for all staff, demonstrating a commitment to safety guidelines.Perform additional duties as assigned.
