Role Responsibilities:

The Field Services Engineer is essential in delivering hands-on technical support to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to CNC machinery. This role requires exceptional customer service skills, along with the ability to diagnose problems and implement effective solutions.

As a client-facing professional, you will assist customers with complex technical challenges on-site. Following comprehensive training in Baltimore, you will shadow a Senior Technician before being assigned clients to work independently in the field, with technical support available via phone. YER USA is committed to fostering a well-trained workforce, offering ongoing training opportunities at their Academy, which features six training rooms and two conference rooms for organized courses.

During your assignments, you will oversee all on-site installation, repair, maintenance, and testing tasks. When not traveling, you will support customers by troubleshooting equipment through phone consultations and remote connections. Your responsibilities will also include generating timely and detailed service reports, collaborating with the technical team, and sharing insights across the organization.

Qualifications:

  • Technical Degree in Mechatronics, Industrial Mechanics, Industrial Electronics, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in technical field service with CNC equipment is essential.
  • Experience in the steel fabrication sector is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical documents and procedures, along with proficiency in writing professional reports.
  • Competence in using Microsoft Office Suite for document preparation and report maintenance.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational skills with the capability to manage multiple tasks and a keen attention to detail.
  • Willingness to travel and participate in various training and development opportunities.
  • Excellent communication skills are required.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Commissioning both new and existing machines.
  • Providing operator and maintenance training to customers.
  • Conducting field repairs and maintenance.
  • Offering hotline service support.
  • Traveling for service calls across the USA and Canada.
  • Documenting service activities.
  • Building and maintaining customer relationships.
  • Delivering practical technical solutions and advice to clients.
