As a Commercial Pest Management Specialist, your primary responsibility will be to engage with a diverse clientele within the hospitality sector and various commercial enterprises. By delivering exceptional services and devising effective solutions to pest-related challenges, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding our clients' reputations and contributing to their overall success. Our extensive PAID TRAINING program spans 5 weeks, equipping you with the necessary skills and resources to excel in this profession – no prior experience is required. Once you establish a consistent route, this position offers flexible scheduling and autonomy over the customer accounts you manage.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop strong working relationships with a variety of clients and collaborate with them to identify and address pest control needs
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of Ecolab's product and service offerings, as well as industry trends, to enhance service delivery and sales of pest prevention and elimination solutions
  • Utilize handheld computerized devices to manage service operations and document structural, sanitation, and pest-related issues

Position Details:

  • This is a field-based role that may require travel within the surrounding areas:
    • Portland, OR
  • Work schedule and shifts:
    • Sunday-Thursday; Night Shift (9pm-5am) Full Time

During the training phase, you will need to travel to Ecolab's Corporate Headquarters for one of the five weeks. Travel typically occurs during the third week, with the remaining weeks dedicated to in-field training. Ecolab will cover travel expenses and related costs.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Two years of work or military experience
  • A valid Driver's License is required
  • Ability to work overnight shifts as necessary
  • Willingness to be on call during off-hours and weekends as needed
  • Capability to obtain necessary pest certification and/or business licensing in accordance with state/local regulations
  • Must be at least 18 years of age due to the nature of the work
  • Ecolab conducts background checks and drug screenings for all candidates receiving job offers
  • Immigration sponsorship is not available for this position

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to wear and utilize a respirator
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 50 pounds at chest height
  • Work in various conditions, including confined spaces, damp or dusty environments, and extreme temperatures
  • Essential duties include lifting, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, using hands and fingers, balancing, walking, standing, talking, and hearing
  • Drive a company vehicle as required to fulfill job responsibilities (pre-employment and ongoing motor vehicle record checks will be conducted)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior customer service experience
  • Ability to sell value-added products to existing clients
  • Experience in the pest control industry or route management is preferred
