About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Property Management Accountant to join our team at Commercial and Residential Management Group. As a key member of our Accounting Team, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial procedures for our properties, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, and providing exceptional support to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare and review monthly financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Accounting and Auditing: Conduct regular audits of financial records, identify and correct errors, and implement controls to prevent future discrepancies.
  • Cash Management: Monitor and manage cash balances, accounts, and transactions to prevent overdrafts and ensure efficient financial operations.
  • Payables and Receivables: Process and manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and accurate invoicing.
  • Special Projects: Assist the Controller with special projects, such as financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: A degree in accounting or a minimum of three years of accounting experience, with a minimum of six months of experience with Yardi Property Management software.
  • Skills and Qualifications: Strong computer skills, proficiency in Microsoft 365 programs, excellent organizational and time management skills, and the ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, colleagues, and management.
