Position Purpose:
The Building Engineer is a key member of our engineering crew, responsible for performing hands-on tasks and serving as a working member of the team. This full-time, non-exempt position requires strong maintenance skills, technical knowledge, and the ability to work varied hours.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect, coordinate, and perform installation, repairs, and maintenance of building engineering equipment, HVAC automation systems, facilities, and physical plant.
- Collaborate with other engineering department personnel to execute department operations.
- Be available on an on-call basis as needed.
Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Technical training in building automation systems, maintenance, and fire emergency systems.
- Five years' experience in building maintenance.
- Experience with building automation and fire and life safety systems, preferably Honeywell HVAC automation system and Simplex fire and life safety systems.
- Strong maintenance skills, including plumbing, carpentry, painting, electrical, and team building abilities.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to learn and adapt to other software technologies and systems.
