About the Role

We are looking for a talented Firmware Performance and Security Specialist to join our Core Firmware team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing firmware-based solutions for various Apple products.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in firmware development, with experience in C programming language and knowledge of unit, integration, and system testing approaches.

  • Firmware-based solutions for iPhone and Apple Watch features like Find My and digital key fob when battery levels are low
  • Securely load Apple operating systems and OS updaters

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement firmware-based solutions for various Apple products
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of firmware solutions
  • Develop and maintain firmware codebase to ensure high-quality, reliable, and secure software

Requirements:

  • Experience with firmware, device-driver, and/or kernel-level development
  • Experience with C programming language
  • Knowledge of unit, integration, and system testing approaches
  • A passion for delivering high-quality, innovative software

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • BS in Computer Engineering/Computer Science/Electrical Engineering or equivalent industry experience
  • Knowledge of modern processor architectures and supporting hardware
  • Experience with real-time operating systems
  • Experience with C++ and Python 3

Estimated Salary: $150,000 - $220,000 per year
