Senior Firmware Engineer for CPU Performance Optimization

We're seeking a senior-level firmware engineer to optimize CPU performance at Qualcomm. As a Senior Firmware Engineer for CPU Performance Optimization, you'll be responsible for developing and implementing firmware solutions that maximize CPU performance and efficiency.

You'll work closely with our hardware power management and firmware development teams to ensure seamless integration and optimization. You'll also have opportunities to engage with third-party partners on new platform enablement and provide input to SoC and platform architects on future designs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement firmware solutions to optimize CPU performance and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with other teams on platform bring-up, debug, diagnostics, firmware lifecycle, and skills requirements identification.
  • Engage with open-source communities to contribute support for processor architectures, device drivers, and firmware features.
  • Provide input to SoC and platform architects on future designs and participate in the definition of CPU Performance Management solutions for future generations of Qualcomm CPUs.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field, and 2+ years of software engineering experience.
  • Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field, and 1+ year of software engineering experience.
  • PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.
  • Experience with embedded OSes like Zephyr, eCos, uC/OS, or FreeRTOS.
  • Familiarity with ARM v8 architecture and experience developing for ARMV8 platforms is a plus.

Salary Range: $111,300.00 - $166,900.00
