Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled CPU Power Management Firmware Engineering Expert to join our team at Qualcomm. As a leading technology innovator, we push the boundaries of what's possible to enable next-generation experiences and drive digital transformation.

The successful candidate will be responsible for working with a team to develop and implement power management solutions for our custom CPUs. This includes defining standard-driven solutions, implementing embedded firmware, and collaborating internally to manage performance of the CPU subsystem.

In this role, you will work closely with hardware power management and firmware development teams to ensure seamless integration and optimization. You will also have opportunities to engage with third-party partners on new platform enablement and provide input to SoC and platform architects on future designs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive the design, implementation, and verification of firmware in pre-silicon and post-silicon environments.
  • Assist in defining CPU Performance Management solutions for future generations of Qualcomm CPUs.
  • Actively engage with open-source communities to contribute support for processor architectures, device drivers, and firmware features.
  • Collaborate with other teams on platform bring-up, debug, diagnostics, firmware lifecycle, and skills requirements identification.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field, and 2+ years of software engineering experience.
  • Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field, and 1+ year of software engineering experience.
  • PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.
  • Experience with embedded OSes like Zephyr, eCos, uC/OS, or FreeRTOS.
  • Familiarity with ARM v8 architecture and experience developing for ARMV8 platforms is a plus.

Salary Range: $111,300.00 - $166,900.00
