Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Animal Control Manager to join our team at the Humane Rescue Alliance. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for managing our Animal Control Field Services team, ensuring the highest level of animal welfare and public safety.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Team Management: Lead and manage a team of Animal Control Officers, providing guidance, support, and training to ensure they have the tools and resources needed to perform their duties effectively.
  • Animal Welfare: Ensure that all animals in our care receive the highest level of care and attention, adhering to our organization's animal welfare policies and procedures.
  • Public Safety: Work closely with local law enforcement agencies to ensure public safety and prevent animal-related incidents.
  • Community Engagement: Develop and maintain relationships with local community groups, providing education and outreach on animal welfare and control issues.
  • Administrative Tasks: Manage administrative tasks, including payroll, scheduling, and record-keeping, to ensure the smooth operation of the Animal Control Field Services team.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Animal Science, Biology, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 4 years of experience in animal control or a related field, including supervisory experience.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups and individuals.
  • Certifications: Possess and maintain valid certifications, including animal handling and restraint techniques.

Education and Experience:
