Healthcare Administrative Coordinator

POSITION SUMMARY:
As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be the first point of contact for patients, ensuring a warm and welcoming atmosphere during their visits. Your responsibilities will include the registration and interviewing of patients to gather precise demographic and financial details. You will be tasked with the accurate computer entry of new and updated patient information. Additionally, you will manage incoming calls and prepare medical records for clinic appointments by consolidating information from various sources. You will track dictation to guarantee that notes are received for all patient consultations. Your role will also involve collecting co-pay amounts and outstanding balances for services provided, distributing financial assistance packets, and offering basic guidance to patients. For complex or non-compliant financial matters, you will refer patients to the Financial Specialist or Site Manager.

Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION:
High school diploma or equivalent.
CERTIFICATION/

LICENSES:
Preferred: Medical Terminology Certification.

SKILLS:
  • Proficient in computer operations, particularly within a Windows environment, including Microsoft Office.
Experience with Word and Excel, strong keyboarding skills, and the ability to operate standard office equipment are essential.
  • Ability to read and write in English; bilingual in Spanish is preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
One to two years of experience in a general or medical office setting, or completion of a medical office program within the last two years. Prior experience in a healthcare environment is preferred.

NATURE OF SUPERVISION:
  • Reports to: Clinic Manager
ENVIRONMENT:
  • Exposure to bloodborne pathogens
  • General office environment with frequent patient interaction and VDT exposure.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to sit for extended periods. Proficient keyboard usage following sound ergonomic principles. Flexibility in work schedule is required.
