Accountable for executing all necessary functions to enhance physician productivity and elevate patient satisfaction.
This role serves as the main point of contact at the facility for patients regarding any inquiries of both clinical and administrative nature, which includes coordinating clinical communications with the physician, securing prior authorizations for recommended treatments, referrals, or procedures, and organizing appointments for procedures in the clinic or hospital. Additionally, it involves managing patient care and follow-up from the hospital or clinic, overseeing the physician's schedule (both operating room and clinic, as applicable), handling incoming calls, responding to messages, and arranging follow-up tests and referrals for patients.
This position necessitates fostering an excellent working relationship with the physician and the capability to treat patients with dignity, confidentiality, and compassion at all times, even during stressful situations.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

High school diploma or equivalent; knowledge of medical terminology is required.

SKILLS:
Proficient in computer applications, particularly within a Windows environment, including Microsoft Office Word and Excel. Keyboarding proficiency and the ability to operate standard office equipment are essential. Must possess the ability to read and write in English; bilingual in Spanish is preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
A minimum of one (1) year of experience is required, with three (3) years in a related healthcare setting preferred.
NATURE OF SUPERVISION:
- Reports to: Clinic Manager
ENVIRONMENT:
- Exposure to bloodborne pathogens
- General office setting with frequent patient interaction and VDT exposure
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Extended periods of sitting may be necessary. Keyboard usage should adhere to sound ergonomic principles. Flexibility in work schedule is required.
