Job Overview

As a Plumbing Technician Trainee at Estes Services, you will play a crucial role in supporting our experienced plumbers in delivering exceptional service to our clients. This position is ideal for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in the plumbing industry.

Key Responsibilities

Your primary duties will include:

  • Assisting Journeyman or Master Plumbers with daily tasks and projects.
  • Traveling to various job locations and coordinating with dispatch to maintain an efficient schedule.
  • Being available for emergency service calls during nights or weekends on a rotating basis.
  • Ensuring the company vehicle is well-maintained, including regular refueling and reporting any mechanical issues.
  • Keeping the vehicle stocked with necessary parts, tools, and safety equipment.
  • Understanding company pricing structures and generating customer invoices at their location.
  • Documenting all installed plumbing equipment, including make, model, and serial numbers.
  • Conducting preventive maintenance and providing recommendations for plumbing system improvements.
  • Participating in training sessions provided by the company to enhance your skills.
  • Identifying opportunities for new systems, service agreements, and additional services.
  • Adhering to all company policies and safety regulations.
  • Collaborating with team members to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Staying informed about current Mechanical, Gas, and Plumbing Codes.
Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • A minimum of a High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • 1 to 3 years of relevant experience is preferred.

Technical Skills:

  • Familiarity with industry standards and practices.
  • Ability to safely operate power tools, ladders, and hand tools.
  • Basic typing skills are necessary.

Physical Requirements

The role demands:

  • Comfort working in tight, poorly lit, and confined spaces.
  • Compliance with safety regulations while performing all tasks.
