Job Overview

We are in search of a proficient and driven Licensed Plumbing Technician to enhance our team at KEMCO Facilities Services. The successful candidate will be adept at executing a variety of plumbing tasks, from repairing leaks to installing comprehensive plumbing systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide plumbing services to commercial clients, managing a diverse range of plumbing projects from initiation to completion while ensuring timely and quality outcomes.
  • Install and maintain efficient systems for the transportation of water, waste, gases, or heated liquids.
  • Interpret blueprints and schematics to plan the layout of plumbing, waste disposal, and water supply systems.
  • Cut, assemble, and install pipes and tubes, considering existing infrastructure.
  • Identify, install, maintain, and rectify issues with water supply lines, including leaks.
  • Repair or replace damaged drainage lines, blocked drains, faucets, etc.
  • Install and maintain heating systems, including air-conditioning units and radiators.
  • Set up waste disposal and sanitary systems, ensuring effective DWV systems.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned, with opportunities to learn about kitchen equipment repair.
Qualifications:
  • At least three years of successful experience as a plumber.
  • Preferred: State of Georgia Plumbing License.
  • Preferred: Journeyman Plumber certification.
  • Completion of a Trade School diploma or an Apprenticeship program in plumbing.
  • Strong understanding of water distribution and disposal systems in various building types.
  • Familiarity with heating and ventilation systems and appliances.
  • Proficient in using plumbing tools and equipment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Friendly demeanor with a high level of patience.
  • Good physical condition and strength, capable of working in confined spaces.
  • Must pass background and drug screenings.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to pass MVR check.
Physical Requirements:
  • Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds; frequently lift and/or move up to 100 pounds with assistance.
  • Engage in repetitive bending, twisting, stooping, kneeling, and climbing.
  • Travel extensively to various work sites.
  • Work in environments with electrical, steam, and high heat units, requiring safety precautions.
  • Occasional to frequent exertion in varying temperature conditions.
